In October 2025, Atlantis Robotics Lda proudly completed the installation of a state-of-the-art IMCA Class A Simulator, marking a significant milestone in the continuous enhancement of its marine robotics training programs.

Developed in full compliance with IMCA C 005 Rev.4.9 and IMCA R 002 – Guidance on ROV Introductory and Pilot Technician Training, the simulator meets the highest international standards for professional ROV Pilot Technician training.

This advanced system allows cadets to experience realistic offshore scenarios, including navigation, manipulator operation, subsea installation, emergency response, and fault management procedures.
Instructors can monitor and evaluate pilot performance in real time, ensuring that theoretical knowledge is seamlessly integrated with high-fidelity practical exercises.

The implementation of the IMCA Class A simulator reinforces Atlantis Robotics’ commitment to providing world-class training aligned with IMCA Competence Frameworks and the evolving needs of the subsea, energy, and scientific industries.
This major investment also strengthens the collaboration between Atlantis Robotics and the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute (IH), supporting future steps toward formal course recognition and alignment with international and NATO-accredited standards.
